2007-2008 Capital Campaign

Yamato strives at providing the best possible experience for our young performing members. By supporting our 2007-2008 Capital Campaign with your generous donations, Yamato is looking to purchase new uniforms, a kitchen trailer and supplement our brass inventory for the 2008 drum corps season. By September of 2008, we hope to raise $100,000. It is only with your generous support can we accomplish this goal. The following opportunities are available to you. Please make your donation today!

Yamato's new uniforms, brass instruments or trailer will have your name, name of a loved one or company name displayed to acknowledge your support with a donation of $2500 or more. You can choose to have your name stitched onto our new uniform, or plaque on our new brass instrument or decal on our trailer.

"Matching Funds"
Many employers will match donations to organizations. Please see your employers Human Resources Representative for more information, before you pledge your sponsorship.

Become a Volunteer
It takes people like you to make Yamato successful year after year, a lot of people. If you or someone you know is looking to obtain some community service hours or is looking to lend a helping hand to their community, then we are looking for you.

Western Corps Connection
Every year, Yamato co-hosts the Western Corps Connection Drum & Bugle Show at Riverside Community College. This is an all-day event and we need people to man the various posts needed to make this event successful. Some positions include:

• Parking lot/gate supervision
• Consession/souvenir selling
• Judge runners
• Stadium preparation

Pre-tour preparation committees
It takes a lot of time effort to prepare our groups for tour. We have props to build, uniforms to clean and be fitted, vehicles to prepare for cross-country travel, to just name a few

On-tour support team
While on tour, we need staff in various positions to make sure Yamato's members stays clean and healthy. We need cooks for our kitchen, drivers for the long overnight trips, someone to man our souvenir booth, just to name a few.

Become a Sponsor
One of the best things any business (big or small) can do to increase their public awareness is to sponsor non-profit organizations in their community. As a sponsor of Yamato, not only would your business be sponsoring a non-profit youth group, but you will be sponsoring cultural awareness between two great countries. You will also be sponsoring the performing arts, which is on the decline in public schools around the United States thanks to tight, little, or no budgets in non-athletic extracurricular activities.

Being a sponsor will also allow your company's logo or slogan to be made public to thousands of supporters of the drum & bugle corps activity both in Southern California and around the nation. Advertising spacing is available in various areas such as our annual Summer Music Games program book, at the Western Corps Connection drum & bugle corps show in Riverside, CA, and on our equipment trailers.
